Chaperones

male_female_symbolsThe doctors and nurses at the surgery are aware of the difficulties faced by both their patients and themselves when carrying out intimate examinations unsupervised in the consulting room.

You may wish to bring a chaperone with you, the chaperone may be a family member or a friend, but on occasions a formal chaperone may be preferred.

Please do not be afraid to request a chaperone of your choice to be present in the room.

The healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations.
