"Health Visitors are registered nurses with additional experience in other specialties. They all work together as members of the Primary Health Care Team.
Health visiting teams are well placed to identify patterns and causes of ill health and join with others to tackle them
The teams philosophy is to provide easy access to our service both at the surgery and through our confidential and supportive home visiting.
The teams aim is to enable individuals and their families to lead healthier and happier lives by delivering a range of care from parenting to public health practice both in the home and community setting.
There are many groups at the Health Centre in Falmouth including baby clinics, breast-feeding support group and post-natal support group.
They work closely with general practitioners, midwives, district nurses and statutory and voluntary agencies such as the Beacon Partnership, Sure Start and Social Services."
